GM recognizes the value and skill that certified technicians bring to the table and the impact the technician shortage is having on the industry. Retaining and recruiting talent to sustain the quality of work being provided to customers is critical for automotive aftermarket businesses to remain profitable.

GM’s Bring Us Your Talent campaign puts the spotlight on technicians while highlighting the opportunities to those who may be interested in this position.

The campaign kicked off in May with a particular focus on Skilled Trades Day. It is geared at raising awareness and increasing the number of people interested in automotive technician careers.

A website, bringusyourtalent.com, has been created to help GM and our aftermarket partners promote the benefits of being a technician, and to learn more about the GM Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP) schools in their areas.

If your shop is like most, finding and retaining top tech talent is an ongoing challenge. To help you with this, marketing assets and supporting materials can be found at the ACDelco 1Store by searching #BringUsYourTalent or #Technician Recruitment. An activation guide is also available to outline the program and offer various best practices and resources.
