New leveling kit elevates select midsize trucks

The Performance Engineering team at General Motors has introduced a new Front Leveling Kit that allows owners of 2015 and newer 4WD Chevrolet Colorado (non ZR2) models and 4WD GMC Canyon models to raise their trucks’ front ride height by up to one inch.

The Kit employs unique upper and lower spacers to help optimize suspension geometry.

Rigorously tested for durability, long-term efficiency and seamless integration, this elevated stance provides vehicles with a greater approach angle for increased clearance over off-road obstacles and allows for the use of popular off-road tire combinations. (This product cannot be used on vehicles with 20-inch wheels.)

Unlike leveling kits with single spacer designs that may cause a vehicle’s ball joints to wear out prematurely, the Chevrolet Performance/GMC 1-inch Leveling Kit utilizes unique upper and lower spacers to help maintain optimal suspension geometry, helping to reduce excess fatigue on the ball joints. Once installed, the vehicle’s alignment should be checked and adjusted, if necessary. Note that installation of this Leveling Kit does not void the customer’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

You can order the Chevrolet Performance/GMC 1-inch Front Leveling Kit for Colorado and Canyon models (PN #84608728) through your dealership’s parts department.
