On some 2017-2020 Buick Envision models, technicians may find that the DTC C0460 remains stored after service. This may be due to a loss of volatile memory.
If the battery is disconnected for service, the code will set current. After service is completed, technicians must either turn the steering wheel from lock to lock with the engine running or drive the vehicle in a straight line. This will allow the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) to re-zero the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS).
If the intermediate steering shaft had been removed for service and the code will not clear, verify that the shaft is properly indexed when installed.
