6.0L GM Reman part number 19356406.

In 2017, GM brought back a legend, the Gen III 6.0L reman. For 2018, GM made the big-bore v8 tougher than ever and added CNG and LPG capability.

The latest 6.0L reman (P/N 19356406), available now, arrives with hardened valve seats and stiffer valve springs for greater strength and durability. It also features GM’s option code KL5 compatibility with compressed natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas. That adds up to a hardworking powerplant with multifuel optionality.

It also builds on the reputation of an engine that made a name for itself pulling multiple duties on the roads, in the workplace and at the track. From 1999-2007, the 6.0L powered a litany of GM 3/4 ton and heavy-duty trucks, including the Chevrolet Suburban and Silverado, GMC Savana and Yukon XL Denali, Hummer H2 and Cadillac Escalades. With power ratings running 300-345 hp and torque ranging between 360-380 lb. ft., the 6.0L also found a place in the hearts of streetcar enthusiasts looking for a hard-charging engine that could compete week after week and come back hungry for more.

For customers looking to put this 6.0L reman in a new home, the powerplant is still easy to install, according to GM Engines Product Specialist Grant Powers. “They’re basically plug and play,” says Powers. “No calibration is required.” The 6.0L carries GM’s 36 month/100,000 miles (whichever comes first) limited warranty*,**.

Some legends stay trapped in time. The Gen III 6.0L reman has been reborn with the same tough-as-nails attitude along with a few new twists.
